Ashley’s most requested gift was delayed in shipping, so she barely got it today. Love seeing her so happy.
Forgiveness
Ashley: Yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night because I had a bad dream. I went to tell you about it, but you were asleep, so I didn’t wake you.
Me: Aww, that was sweet of you to let me sleep.
Ashley: (Long pause) “I just want you to know that I forgive you for being asleep when I needed you.”

Annie is Over
It’s finally over. We’re done with Annie…for now.
My little orphan with… Aileen Quinn? I try not to post pictures of other people’s children, so enjoy my underwhelming Photoshop skills.
Ashley cried from disappointment on the drive home, but as her voice teacher told her, “Don’t worry, Ashley. There will be many more Annie productions in your future.” Truer words were probably never spoken. 
Seizures
Ashley’s hand got caught in a door yesterday as it was closing. She was hysterical. I felt awful for her. Well, I felt awful for her… up until the point when she began faking mini seizures from the pain.The seizures miraculously stopped after I extended her bedtime by half an hour.
And just think…she hasn’t even reached her tween years yet. It’s only going to get worse. 
Opening Night Nears
Ashley is so excited to play an orphan in Annie.

Speechless
Timmy: Momma, it pains me to tell you this, but I went into Ashley’s bedroom, and she was playing with her dolls instead of doing her silent reading time.
Me: Okay, but why were you in her bedroom? Why weren’t you at your desk doing YOUR silent reading time?
